Such Touching Concern

Description

Draxal crossed his arms and smirked at her from his chair. Windlight suppressed the desire to punch him in the face and break his pretty nose, mostly because it probably wouldn't work and she'd most likely lose a finger or two in the process.
"If you die," he stated pragmatically, "Somebody will have to go through the trouble of retrieving your stiff and useless corpse." His sunflower eyes glittered dangerously at her from under his dusty fringe, wild and uncanny as always.
"It's just a couple of guard squads, I can take them," Windlight argued back stubbornly. "I want to DO something!"
The Thief King sighed lightly, rising to his feet with that practiced grace that she envied him so much. He padded past her, that catlike ease in his movements making her tense even though he was only retrieving his ink cup from the desk. "You know," he said delicately. His tone was the usual silky purr, aloof and venomous. "It's a lot easier to collect corpses down here. Not that whole risk of being blown to bits by patrolling robots and whatnot."
She shivered in spite of herself. Even though she'd sworn she wouldn't. "So?"
The thief was beside her, that damnable agility of his getting the best of her again. He laid a hand lightly on her shoulder, making her tremble a second time, golden eyes boring holes into hers. His expression was mild and just barely, mockingly, concerned.
"So," he replied airily, fingers tightening just slightly on her sleeve. "It would be an awful shame if anything were to
happen to you, should you choose to try and leave the Den."
The katana in his other hand shifted, glinting to catch the light just slightly as he gestured with his arm. Windlight had no idea when it had gotten there, but she was used to that by now.
"Savvy?" he said softly, leaning in slightly and pinning her with his gaze. Tense as a bowstring she nodded, unable to break the stare. It was like tasting poisoned honey.

Sorry the image quality is so bad ^^' it was tacked on my bulletin board at the time, in case you couldn't tell. (The rest of Drax's katana sort of got cut off in the picture. Woops.) Just some fun I had with my copic markers, which I only have 5 of: two shades of skintone, two shades of gray, and the blendy one xD. All the darktones you see are me going over the supposed-to-be-dark areas repeatedly until they were black enough lol.

Draxal and Windlight are mine, as is the art. Don't remember how long it took... about 3-4 hours non-consec., at rough estimate.

Good but he looks too... concerned. In the caption he sounded arrogant and sly
