*laughs tiredly* aaah, stayed up 'til 2 am to do this... but damn it was worth it. I needed this, really I did.... yes, I know some of you are probably thinking that my gallery needs another Ayden picture like I need a hole in the head. But the thing that matters wasn't the subject matter at all- it was the coloring. I needed to prove to myself that I could do something really, really good with the coloring- preferably something realistic-ish. Ayden is rather obviously a familar and comfortable subject of mine, so I chose to draw her simply because I could rest assured that anything that went wrong with this picture wasn't because I was unused to drawing the contents. In retrospect, it doesn't pop out at you quite as much as some of my other pictures, maybe.... but the detail makes me so happy! ^__^ This was actually prompted by a breif visit to Okeaki (sp, damnit...) Central. God, the things people can do with pixel art... I came back feeling quite insignifigant and incompetent. Anyways, I did this to see if I actually COULD do a decent coloring job if I wanted to... and plus, I needed a new GG avatar xD. I mean, I have had the same one for almost two weeks!

Drawn entirely digitally in OpenCanvas, 5 hours. Annoyingly, the part of this that took the longest was actually trying to figure out how to show the feathers but still include shading xD, and have the feathers actually have the correct tone. I recolored this like seven times...
